Little Wings returns w/ new album - “High on the Glade” on Perpetual Doom :: 5/1

Little Wings is the aquatic laboratory of master songwriter, visual artists, surfer and blissful poet Kyle Field. Originally from Alabama, his family would eventually relocate too LA for his father’s work as a college football coach and it was here that Field would soon find his very own place in the music community as a creative giant of his generation. Having released some of the most dynamic and eclectic records of the last 20 years with titles like “Light Green Leaves”, “Magic Wand”, “Black Grass” and “Explains”, Field has evolved into this sort of delicate Rorschach atom bomb going off in reverse. An explosive display of color, organic textures and bright burning light all carefully concealed in this sacred 12 ounce bottle of nonperishable nectar. The musician finds ways to consistently transcend into this planetary collection of elements all well nourished under a perfect burning sun above. His youthful mannerisms and distinctive pallet of cartoon celebrations give him this incredibly wide, unmeasurable, horizon to pluck and harvest beautiful amounts of words as well as humors details from.

Imagine, if you would, Field in the garden of Eden barefooted strumming his classical guitar. Its nylon strings buzzing like helpless wings captured in a quart jar as he floats carelessly into the garden only to step on the ratchet tail of the snake that so tempted Adam to eat from the apple tree. Puzzled though sympathetic, Field graciously apologized and says: “Hey friend, is there any citrus in this garden, or is only apples?” The artist has worked with the PA based label Perpetual Doom on numerous releases and book collaborations such as: “People”, “Mushroom” with Greg Olin, “Rosy’s Own”, “Haunted Autumn” and we’re very excited to hear that the notorious duo have announced a brand new single entitled “Bubbles Go Pop” from the latest LP, “High on the Glade” for “Bandcamp Friday”.

Pre-orders for the album will be available on the 2nd of February on the Perpetual Doom site and will be made available on the 1st of May just in time for summer.
